The surface material is made up of recycled rubber with EPBM plastic specs. The rubber gym floor surface is bonded to a molded HDPE core structure and then backed with non-slip EVA foam. Inserted under the platform are a series of highly durable reversible pucks constructed of molded polypropylene. The latching mechanism which insures stability in movement and placement is constructed of polypropylene and thermoplastic rubber.

The rubberized gym flooring surface can withstand nearly any amount of normal usage and impact by traditional gym, cross training, running, or cycling (cleated) shoes. We do not recommend wearing metal spiked or sharp spiked athletic cleats as this could damage the platform over time.
Any standard piece of workout equipment can be used on the platform. The construction and beveled edge was designed to allow for easy rolling on and off by large and/or heavy pieces of equipment.
All of the layers are combined and the only assembly required is to join the panels through a simple rock and lock method.
The reversible pucks, with the carpet teeth unexposed, sit above the non-slip backing which prevents any impactful contact with a hard surface.

The base platform model (4'x6') was tested successfully with a distributed load capacity of 1,000 pounds. That distributed load capacity would increase based on the panel construction as the size grows.
The platform was designed to ship through small parcel service (i.e. FedEx and UPS) either in one box or a series of boxes, depending on the size of the platform ordered. Each panel weighs approximately 8lbs and measures 24"x24"x1". A standard single set 4'x6' will contain 6 panels and weigh approximately 48 pounds when installed.
The rubberized gym flooring surface and molded sub-structure was designed to withstand your strongest workout. To extend the life of the item, we recommend not dropping weights from significant heights (24"+) or dropping sharp objects (metal dumbells) which have significant weight (20lbs+). The edges of the platform are a very durable and even if scratched/dented will functionally perform at a high level.
The platform will set up and break down in only minutes making it easily portable.
